Product overview

Cultcha is a SaaS platform designed to help organizations build a strong workplace culture through science-backed assessments and real-time analytics. By evaluating cultural alignment between individuals and teams, Cultcha aims to improve hiring decisions, boost employee engagement, and drive overall performance.

The story behind

The client aimed to rebuild the platform to address performance, security, and scalability issues, and to streamline the deployment process for faster updates. The Seedium team joined the project to tackle these challenges and deliver full-stack development support.

Seedium solutions

We began by improving the architecture and user flows, ensuring the platform met new requirements while continuing to expand its functionality.

The platform had a large amount of legacy code and an overly complex architecture, making it difficult to maintain and extend with new features. Some user flows were only partially implemented, and the overall UX was challenging to navigate.

We started by refactoring the legacy code, then moved on to completely rebuilding the client side with a fresh and intuitive design focused on scalability. As a result of these changes, deployment times dropped significantly, from 15 minutes to under 3.

Designing smooth user flows and clear dashboards were key priorities. We built a component library and applied strict performance optimizations, which reduced initial load times by around 40% and raised Lighthouse scores to the mid-90s.

We also integrated accessibility and internationalization from the start to ensure the platform was ready for global markets without needing later rework.

After updating the existing system components, the client approached us to implement new functionality. One key feature was a Matching Engine that transforms questionnaire data into a signature culture fit score. During the development process, we focused on maintaining data integrity, implementing row-level security, and adding multiple layers of validation to ensure both security and accuracy in the matching results.

Overall, we developed three new modules to extend the platform's functionality and increase the value of analytics for end users.

The outcomes and recognition

By updating the architecture and fine-tuning performance, we increased deployment speed by 5× and cut page load times by 40%. This helped the platform meet strict requirements for accessibility, performance, and search visibility. Since launching the new pipeline, the client has reported stable and secure automated releases.

All new modules were delivered on schedule, supporting Cultcha’s business plans and helping them meet their users’ expectations.

“Seedium combines strategic foresight, meticulous engineering and collaborative instinct. Cultcha.io is faster, safer and markedly more scalable because of their work, a standout contribution that has moved the product and the company several steps forward.”
