Product overview
HerHeadquarters is a collaborative platform that connects women-owned businesses across various industries, including Fashion, Beauty, Entertainment, Events, Public Relations, and more. It enables women entrepreneurs and freelancers to outsource work, secure projects, form collaborations, and connect with brands or corporate clients, all in one seamless environment.
The story behind
Carina Glover, the founder of HerHeadquarters, came up with the idea for the app back in 2017. While working in business, she saw how powerful collaboration could be in reaching success. That’s why she decided to create a platform that would make it easier for women to support each other and team up on business projects. During a tech startup accelerator program, Carina focused on understanding her audience and refining her idea. Once it was ready, she involved Seedium to turn it into a market-ready app.

Seedium solutions
The Seedium team took care of the whole app development lifecycle, including UX/UI design, front-end and back-end development, database architecture, and mobile app development.
The main platform functionality was provided on a mobile application, allowing business women around the U.S. to easily collaborate. To reach a wider audience, the application was developed for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native technology.
We have used progressive approaches such as Microservices, as well as high-security standards using JWT authentication. To keep users engaged, mail and push notifications were implemented.
The system includes tools for robust user management, all accessible through an easy-to-use admin panel. We also integrated Stripe to make handling subscriptions and payments simple and secure.
To give users more flexibility, the HerHeadquarters platform allows account management not just in the mobile app, but also through the web version. This means users can update personal details and manage their subscriptions online, too.
Since the goal of the project was to create a smooth and easy way for users to connect and work together, we built a real-time chat feature. It supports sending text messages, files, videos, and images. To make this work faster and more efficiently, we used streaming uploads to Amazon S3, allowing large files to be sent without slowing things down.

"They were flexible, their communication was strong, and they always had ideas that would make the product better."
