Picflow is a modern collaboration platform for creative professionals designed to share, proof, and transfer media files. It helps photographers, designers, agencies, and other creatives easily collaborate with clients on visual content.
The story behind
Michel Luarasi, the founder of Picflow, set out to solve a common problem many creative professionals faced: sharing and collaborating on visual content efficiently. Despite the large number of online galleries on the market, most fell short when it came to real commercial work. Determined to bring his vision to life, Michel partnered with Seedium to turn the idea into a fully functional platform that not only makes image transfer easy but also enables real-time feedback, collaborative proofing, and seamless gallery sharing.

The project’s scope was large, so we divided it into several packages for better analysis and step-by-step implementation. Among the main requirements for the project were speed and secure loading of images of any format and size. Overall, Seedium provided the client with a comprehensive range of services, including backend development, setting up AWS architecture, and integration with various tools.
One of the key project requirements was to support fast image uploads and downloads without compromising full resolution. This required a special architecture and infrastructure that could handle such a load and scale to meet growing demand. We chose a cloud-based infrastructure powered by AWS.
By combining AWS Lambda with Kafka, we created a fast, flexible, and scalable processing system. As a result, galleries are quick to upload and build, with unthrottled speeds. Users can organize work by creating folders for each client (or any organization structure they prefer) and simply drag and drop galleries into them, just like working on a desktop.
To support creative professionals, we built features that make it easy and secure to upload, store, and share media.
- Design & Branding. Picflow allows you to fully customize your galleries for a professional look. You can change the title and cover photo, adjust the layout, add social links, and even connect your own domain.
- Sharing & Security. Users have full control over who sees their work with public, private, or unlisted settings. Implemented security measures include password protection, tracking visitors, and managing access to metadata, version history, and downloads.
- Review & Approval. We provided flexible review tools to accelerate the approval process. You can also let collaborators comment, flag, annotate, approve/disapprove, or favorite images.
To enhance functionality and ensure seamless platform performance, we have integrated with key third-party services. This includes Stripe, Auth0, marketing automation tools, and CMS integrations.

The outcomes and recognition
The result of our collaboration with the client was a fully operational SaaS platform, launched in Q3 2021, featuring seamless integrations with authentication services, billing systems, marketing automation tools, and CRM platforms. Picflow received enthusiastic feedback from users who highlighted its intuitive interface, flexible customization options, and fast image uploads.
