The product is a B2B software platform that streamlines collaboration between retailers and suppliers by digitizing their joint business processes. It enables managers on both sides to carry out structured planning around promotions, new product launches, pricing, and investments while providing clear dashboards, KPI tracking, and SKU management.

The client needed a technology partner to modernize the platform’s functionality and add new features tailored to user needs. A major challenge was the absence of an intuitive way for managers to monitor weekly activities across categories and measure investment effectiveness. Seedium stepped in to modernize the product, helping the client achieve their business goals.

To reduce system vulnerability and implement new required functionality, Seedium provided the client with a wide range of design and development services. This included UX/UI redesign, front-end and back-end development, testing, and QA automation.
Migrating from a legacy LoopBack 3 to a new Node.js framework, Nest.js, was a critical step in system modernization. To accelerate this process, we embedded Cursor AI into the workflow as a productivity tool. With a custom set of rules tailored to our architecture and naming standards, we automated boilerplate code, standardized modules, and reduced repetitive work.
This cut migration time in half, allowing the client to optimize resources and accelerate the delivery of new features.
To address the lack of test coverage and infrastructure gaps, we stabilized the inherited systems and introduced automated testing. This included Sentry, OpenTelemetry, NestJS, Drizzle ORM, validation tools, Docker, and Atlas GO migrations. The outcome was a more maintainable, testable, and scalable platform with faster QA cycles and a stronger foundation for future growth.
We introduced a reusable design kit for a clean and consistent user experience. As a result, the platform gained a user-friendly interface that improved usability and overall efficiency.
Once system stability was secured, the development team shifted focus to new feature development. Key enhancements included SKU Management (filtering, adding, editing, and deleting SKUs) and CBP Versioning with approval workflows, providing a centralized and transparent way to manage and approve marketing plans.

The outcomes and recognition
The platform is release-ready, with a modern architecture and an AI-augmented development workflow that increased development velocity from ~15 to 43 commits per week following the API porting.
On the backend, legacy code was reduced from 100% to 25%, greatly improving maintainability and scalability. Additionally, stabilization efforts led to a ~35% reduction in critical bugs in release builds.
As a result, the client was able to expand in the market with confidence, supported by a more scalable and reliable product.
